Solution Barty1884 Apr 10, 2017 Respectable doesn't have to cost a fortune: https/www.amazon.com/Active-Adapter-Benfei-Converter-Gold-Plated/dp/B01KLKQN9U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491877627&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=hdmi+to+vga+adapter+with+audio&psc=1 Should do the job for $8.

VGA cannot receive audio, and you'll need to run an Aux cable from the output (motherboard) to the monitor via the 3.5mm jack Upvote 0 Downvote
