Hi folks,

I am trying to flash the roms on my Symbol PPT2700. I run TCM 7000 and have
the baud rate right, the com port right, and it does not want to connect to
the terminal. It keeps returning the error:

FAILED TO CONNECT TO TERMINAL: (Terminal not connected properly/Terminal not
ready to receive)

The serial cable is connected at both ends, baud rate is set at 115200 (the
recommended speed) and the terminal has been set up and reads: IPL : Waiting
for data

I know I have the right com port and it works because it is the same com
port that I use for ActiveSync and that works like a charm. I have disabled
activeSync to operate TCM as per instructions, but I keep getting the same
error.

Does anyone have experience with TCM?

Your best bet on this will be Symbol support or a symbol specific
forum... don't think I have ever seen a post on flashing Symbol devices
here.
