Solved! how to send e-mail from gmail using a yahoo e-mail address

I'm trying to set up my gmail account so that i can send and receive e-mail from my yahoo account. i can receive e-mail from my yahoo account but gmail or yahoo is blocking me from using my yahoo e-mail to send e-mail with my yahoo address in gmail. it lets me select my yahoo address but once i click send it blocks it. How can i fix this?

I'm assuming this will allow my to send e-mail from my gmail account using my yahoo id? i don't want to create another yahoo id and i want to use my yahoo email in gmail

I had to allow smtp. basically it looks like i didn't complete the setup which i thought i did
