I just bought a new DVI-HDMI cable to hook my PC up to my TV (my nVidia GTX 670's HDMI input was busted during a thunderstorm) I find that whenever I try playing a certain video on the TV I get nothing but audio and a blank white screen showing up on VLC player. The file type of the video in question was an AVI, others of which seem to play fine. The file seems to play on my monitor without issue.

Because my graphics card only has one DVI input I've had to plug my monitor into the onboard graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 4000), I'm wondering if this may be the issue as this never occurred when I was using an HDMI cable.

First of all, I suggest using K-Lite and during setup make sure hardware acceleration is DISABLED (H.264, VC1, MPEG2).

Also, I'm a little confused since you say you have AUDIO coming to your HDTV yet are outputting the video from a DVI output?

Yea, my graphics card has inbuilt audio.
