Asus Rog G750jm GPU Help. Not being detected

I have an Asus Rog G750jm. It took a soft fall but everything was working fine for a minute until it crashed. It started back up normally but I found out the hardware device not connected. I manage to find it as a hidden file in device manager and it say:

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

Is this something I can fix myself? Do I have to take it to a professional? or is it just over? How can I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

When you open Device Manager don't you see the NVIDIA GTX 860M under display adapter?
- What you can do is to try and do a clean install of the driver of your graphics card and see if it will solve the problem.
- Please do refer to this article for a guide on how to do this.

- If these will not work you may need to open the laptop and make sure that the graphics card is seated properly. Apply a new thermal paste onto to it just to make sure.
- If all these will not work do contact Asus for a repair or if it would be covered by the factory warranty.

So I did the first option but it did not work. I have been attempting the second option, however I am having a trouble getting to the graphic card. Are there any instructions available?

FWIW, when replacing my last laptop (ASUS ROG G75VW), I considered the ASUS ROG G750, and the MSI GT70.
Went with the MSI GT70 after seeing how hard ASUS made it to access the innards of the G750. No such issues with the MSI.

Ok. I going to attempt it again. But before I do, can you tell me where it is located? I'm not tech savy. I really appreciate it. (There was supposed to be picture of the laptop dissembled from the second video 36:24 but it won't show up)

It's in one of the 2 areas circled on this photo. Not sure which is CPU and which is GPU. It might be obvious once you get this far and can get a closer look (I'm no expert). Then you'll have to take the screws for the heatsink out to expose the GPU. You will need replacement thermal paste.

At 44:34 in the second video, he finally pulls the motherboard assembly. He then flips it over at 45:22 or so, and you can see the areas I circled in red in my photo.
